특징 

 

  • 번역 후 수정(Post-translational modifications)은 번역 후 발생하는 단백질의 화학적 변화입니다. 이를 통해 최종 단백질의 기능이 다양하게 됩니다. 
  • Phosphorylation, sumolyation, ubiquitination, acetylation, methylation, glycosylation, hydroxylation, oxidation, deamination등의 과정이 있습니다. 
  • 모든 단백질이 메티오닌으로 시작하기 때문에 많은 단백질이 번역 후 수정 중에 이 첫 번째 아미노산이 절단됩니다. 이 과정은 소포체, 골지체 및 secretory vesicles에서 주로 발생합니다.
