특징  

• 바이러스 형질도입은 바이러스 또는 바이러스 입자를 벡터로 활용하여 유전 물질을 세포에 전달하는 기술입니다. 바이러스 벡터는 패키징 세포주에서 생산되며 일반적으로 HEK293이 이용됩니다. 전달될 유전 물질을 포함하는 플라스미드는 역전사효소, Integrase 및 바이러스 캡시드에 대한 바이러스 유전자를 코딩하는 플라스미드와 함께 패키징 세포주에 삽입됩니다. Packaging Cell line은  세포 내에서 복제하는 바이러스 벡터를 생성한 다음 수확하여 표적 세포를 형질도입하는 데 사용합니다.
• Viral Transduction Enhancers는 바이러스 형질도입 과정의 효율성을 향상시키는 데 사용되는 소분자입니다. 바이러스 유전자 전달의 한 가지 단점은 형질도입 효율이 일반적으로 낮은 점 입니다. 그러나 소분자가 바이러스 형질도입을 향상시킬 수 있다는 것이 밝혀졌고, 소분자를 사용함으로써 더 적은 바이러스 벡터의 사용을 가능하게 하고 또한 감염시키기 어려운 세포 유형의 형질도입을 가능하게 할 수 있습니다. 소분자는 유전자 전사, 세포 진입 또는 DNA 복제를 포함하여 바이러스 유전자 발현을 촉진하기 위해 다양한 세포 과정을 표적으로 합니다. 일부 화합물은 융합을 촉발하거나 벡터와 표적 세포 사이의 반발을 감소시킴으로써 바이러스 세포 진입을 강화함으로써 작용하는 반면, 또 다른 화합물들은 세포 진입 후 세포내에서 작용합니다. 그러나, 이들 화합물 중 다수가 바이러스 형질도입을 향상시키는 기전은 불분명하며, 형질도입 증강제를 조합하면 부가 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀져 있습니다.
