특징

Congo Red는 VGlut inhibitor이며, dentate gyrus에서 synaptic transmission을 감소시킵니다. Amyloid fibril에 결합하는 dye이며, fibril 형성을 억제하거나 미리 형성된 fibril에 결합하여 Fib-beta A neurotoxicity를 억제합니다. 당뇨와 연관있는 amylin의 췌도 세포의 독성을 억제합니다. λex=487nm입니다.
CRANAD2는 Aβ40 aggregate에 결합하는 근적외선 probe입니다. 19개월령 Tg2576 생쥐에서 senile plaque을 탐지하며, BBB를 통과합니다.
K 114는 잠재적인 amyloid fibril 특이적 형광 염료(EC50=20~30nM)입니다. in situ에서 Aβ, α-synuclein과 tau가 존재할 때 밝게 형광을 보입니다. (Optimum wavelength = 550 nm)
Methoxy-X04는 plaques, tangles와 cerebrovascular amyloid를 정량하고 탐지할 수 있는 형광 Aβ probe입니다. fibrillar β-sheet deposits에 특이적으로 결합하는, Congo red의 derivative입니다. in vivo Aβ plaque labeling에 사용할 수 있습니다.
Thioflavin T는 세포 투과성을 가지는 형광 아밀로이드 stain입니다. stacked β sheets of amyloid fibrils에 결합할 때 형광이 증가합니다. 변이 Huntingtin exon-1 aggregate의 β sheets 구조를 확인합니다.
