Hepatitis란? 

• Hepatitis(간염)은 간 조직의 염증입니다. 6개월 이내에 해결되면 급성, 6개월 이상 지속되면 만성입니다. 만성간염은 간경변증, 간부전, 간암으로 진행될 수 있습니다.
• 간염은 A,B,C,D,E 형 간염 바이러스에 의해 가장 흔히 발생합니다. 다른 원인으로는 과도한 알콜섭취, 특정약물, 독소흡입, 기타감염, 자가면역질환, 비알콜성지방간염(NASH)등이 있습니다.
• A형과 E형 간염은 주로 오염된 음식과 물에 의해 전염됩니다.
• B형 간염은 주로 감염된 혈액이나 체액을 통해 전염될 수 있으며, 외피 단백질에 나타나는 항원성 epitope를 기반으로 4가지 주요 혈청형 (adr, adw, ayr, ayw)와 주요 genotype (A-H)으로 나뉩니다. A,D,E 유전자형은 아프리카에서 널리 관찰되는 반면 B,C 유전자형은 아시아에서 주로 관찰됩니다.
• Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)은 감염중 가장 먼저 검출 가능한 바이러스 항원이며, 감염 여부를 선별하는데 가장 자주 사용됩니다. 
• 면역분석법에 의한 HBsAg 검출은 혈액 스크리닝에 사용되어 임상 환경에서 B형 간염 감염의 진단을 확립합니다.
• Recombinant HBsAg 백신의 효능을 확인하고 새로운 백신을 테스트하기 위해서는  항체 ELISA kit가 이용됩니다. IgG(IgG1, IgG2a, IgG3, IgG4) 및 IgM 클래스를 측정하기 위한 항체 ELISA kit을 제공합니다.
