배경

 

Fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF 7)은 상피 세포 특이적 성장 인자입니다. Mouse 및 Rat homolog에 대한 연구에 의해 FGF 7 은 epidermis의 형태 형성, 상처의 reepithelialization, 모발 발달 및 초기 폐 기관 형성에 관여하는 것으로 보여집니다.

 

Elafin은 피부의 호중구 및 췌장 elastase에 특이적인 억제제이며, elastase에 의해 매개되는 조직 단백질 분해를 예방할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자의 발현은 박테리아 LPS와 사이토카인에 의해 상승 조절됩니다. 

 

Type 1 콜라겐은 대부분의 connective tissue에 존재하는 fobril-forming 콜라겐으로, 뼈, 각막, 진피 및 힘줄에 풍부합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 골 형성 부전 유형 I-IV, Ehlers-Danlos 증후군 VIIA 유형, Ehlers-Danlos 증후군 Classical type, Caffey 질병 및 idiopathic osteoporosis과 관련이 있습니다. 또한, dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans와 같은 특정 피부암과 관련이 있습니다. 

 

CD 10 은 UV에 의해 유도되는 피부 preelastic and elastic fiber와 관련된 elastase의 활성을 보입니다. 

 

CALML 5는 epidermis에서 발현되고 칼슘 결합 단백질(calcium binding proteins)의 calmodulin family와 관련된 새로운 칼슘 결합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 재조합 단백질에 대한 기능적 연구를 통해 칼슘에 결합하고 이 때 구조적 변화를 겪는다는 것이 밝혀졌습니다. Reconstructed epidermis에서만 풍부하게 검출되며 분화된 각질 세포에 제한됩니다. 또한 각질 세포의 최종 분화에서 핵심 효소인 것으로 밝혀진 transglutaminase 3과 결합할 수 있습니다. 

 

FABP5는 표피 세포에서 발견되는 지방산 결합 단백질을 암호화하며, 건선 조직(psoriasis tissue)에서 상향 조절됩니다. 또한 FABP는 지방산 흡수, 수송 및 대사에 역할을 하며,  이 유전자의 다형성은 제2형 당뇨병과 연관이 있습니다.
